History of Culasi 

Culasi is well-known for its historical and beautiful spots. One of this is the majestic and wonderful Mt. Madja-as, which measure 2,117 meter high above sea level. From the majestic forest covered mountains to the peaceful beaches and remote islands, Culasi is sure to delight all visitors. This bustling town in Antique is very enigmatic in its resources, beauty and nature and most of it haven't been discovered yet. 


The History

Madja-as, the wife of Kanlaon, was a proud woman and over conscious of her beauty. She became unmindful of others and things around her.
Madja-as and Kanlaon have three children namely Batbatan, Malalison and Maningning. The family was troublesome that their neighbors got disturbed. Baloy, a family adversary, took advantage of the situation and sought the help of a wicked enchantress to disperse the family. Using her wand, the wicked enchantress cast a spell that turned the family into huge masses of land and became a part of the land where they stood.
Madja-as proud face became sorrowful of the family's fate with tears continually flow down to her cheeks like sparkling waterfalls.
